Brooke Howard-Smith

Brooke Howard-Smith (born 6 October 1972) is a New Zealand broadcaster. He is currently married to Amber Peebles who is a former Miss New Zealand and presents for MTV.

Brooke owned a bar in Auckland, New Zealand called The Pony Club. He sold it in April 2010.

Brooke has a band called Fierce Asian Gang

Brooke was also a presenter at the 2007 Rhythm and Vines festival.

TV

Brooke is a New Zealand television personality, well known for his role presenting TV3's Target consumer affairs show,[1] He began TV as the person who puts the Lotto balls into the barrel as well as in 2007 and'Celebrity Joker Poker[2] and TV2's XSTV an extreme sports show,[3] and Brooke was a part of the presenting line up for the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France. He also presented NZ Performance Car TV series 5 as well as the television coverage of the 2008 Coca Cola Christmas in the Park and TV3's Big Night In Telethon[4]

Acting

Brooke played himself in Episode 4 and 5 of The Jaquie Brown Diaries, a comedy series in New Zealand.

Radio

Brooke Hosted Partyhard, a show for The Edge (radio station) (Sat. at 6pm)

Poker

Brooke is sponsored by Skycity as their poker ambassador. In June 2010 he and Comedian Mike King won the 2010 New Zealand Poker Open Teams event.

Pony Club

The Pony Club has had its share of international attention. Time magazine voted it one of the top three bars to go to in New Zealand.

Other Pony Club visitors have included Lady Gaga, Snoop Dog, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Elle McPherson, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. In 2007 Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy was photographed there with a model whilst in a relationship with Ashlee Simpson.

Tommy Lee rented The Pony Club for four days for his "Tommy Land" party.
